Los Angeles – The Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (KAFLA) honored LA18 Prime News at the annual Heritage Night on Sept. 17, which was held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. LA18’s Prime News, the leading Korean local newscast in Los Angeles, received the ‘Media of the Year’ award in front of more than 500 Korean leaders who attended the event. Prime News anchor Narae Lee served as Mistress of Ceremonies at the annual gathering, making the night even more special.
On her emceeing duties, Lee said: “I thank KAFLA for giving me this opportunity to host the annual Heritage Night. It was a celebratory evening! Giving back to the community is always my priority, and I was delighted to serve as Mistress of Ceremonies on behalf of LA18 Prime News.”
According to KAFLA, LA18 Prime News was honored for delivering relevant news to the Korean community in a quick and timely matter. With topics ranging from society, economy and culture, Prime News excels in informing and educating Koreans living in the Los Angeles area.

Meanwhile, the 2015 Heritage Night celebrated KAFLA’s 53rd anniversary and commemorated the 70th anniversary of Korean liberation. There was also a Korean traditional clothing (hanbok) fashion show themed “Beautiful Day, Happy Wedding”, which featured a line of traditional wedding dresses.
