Los Angeles – LA18 helped kick off the holiday season at Pershing Square Thursday Nov. 12 as the downtown park opened its annual Holiday Ice Rink. As the exclusive Asian media sponsor of the rink, LA18 was on hand for the grand opening ceremony, with Halo Halo host and producer Kat Iniba participating in the “ice breaking” ceremony. Iniba, along with former figure skating champion Tiffany Chin, Univision’s Nataly Valenzuela and Snoopy (yes, Snoopy!), chipped away at the Holiday Rink ice sculpture, officially kicking off the skating season in Pershing Square.
Celebrating its 18th season as LA’s favorite winter happening, Holiday Ice Rink in Pershing Square welcomes more than 500,000 enthusiasts to skate under the sun and stars in what has become a popular holiday tradition. The rink is open daily from Nov. 12, 2015 through Jan. 18, 2016. Numerous free community outreach events embrace the area’s diverse culture and make the rink an affordable number one holiday destination.
This year, LA18 is very excited to announce its exclusive partnership with Holiday Ice Rink for ‘LA 18 Fun on Ice – a Weeklong Celebration’. The event, which will be held Jan. 4-10, 2016, includes many family-friendly activities, such as raffles, giveaways, games, booths, hockey sessions, and skating lessons with LA18 personalities.
