“Criers For Hire” follows the story of three professional funeral criers in Monterey Park, who eagerly welcome a 14-year-old girl from the Philippines into their world. What ensues is a hilarious and heartwarming story of cultural identity, generational conflict, and finding home in a new country.
Vargas will host the talkback on behalf of Emerging US, a news organization dedicated to an emerging America where the racial conversation is beyond black-and-white and includes Latinos, Asians, biracial and multi-ethnic people.
