PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Plan and execute sales & community events by working closely with LA 18 sales dept. 2. Arrange various aspects of events such as procuring venues, set-up, staffing, technical, crew and event promotion. 3. Attend events to facilitate operations and responds to emergencies, problems, etc, ensures all aspects of events are implemented and managed according to plans. 4. Develop and maintain event budgets.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 1. Broad-based knowledge of community events, as well as event operations. 2. Must be able to interact with a variety of people ranging from vendors and company management to attendees. 3. Excellent communication and written skills. 4. Detail-oriented, flexible, and well organized multi-tasker and team player. 5. Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as required. 6. Must be able to work under pressure and be willing to work with tight deadlines. 7. Knowledge of Asian communities, particularly Chinese American community. 8. Fluency (written & spoken) in Mandarin Chinese is required. 9. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 1. Minimum of two years of event/marketing experience. 2. Experience with Asian community marketing preferred. 3. Bachelor Degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, hospitality management, business or communication.
